Bret Shepard is a writer and professor.
Bret Shepard grew up in villages on the North Slope of Alaska. He is the recipient of awards and fellowships from Saint Mary’s College, where he completed his MFA, and the University of Nebraska, where he completed his PhD. He now lives in Tacoma, Washington with his wife and two sons. He is an Assistant Professor of English at Cabrini University. His poems have appeared in journals such as Arts & Letters, Boston Review, Colorado Review, Crazyhorse, Mississippi Review, and elsewhere.
